- The second way of proving that your bank statement is real and not fake is by getting an e-statement from your bank. This is mostly called #mybankstatement. With this type of statement, you don’t need to print it out. The bank will send it directly to the Canadian embassy handling your application. After your bank sends it to the embassy, they will give you a password, which you will submit with your other application documents. This is the password that the immigration officer will use and access your bank statement.
How do I get a certified copy of my bank statement?
Go to your bank and tell them you want to print out your bank statement, and they will give you a form to fill out, after that, they will print it and give it to you.
You can also request that they send it to your mail if you want to print it outside the bank. Note that getting a certified copy of your bank statement from your bank comes with some bank charges. Make sure to ask them how much they charge to get your bank statement.
