How To Show Proof Of Family Ties For Canada Visa

Proof Of Family Ties For Canada Visa

One of the many reasons why most student visas or other visa types that require family ties are being rejected is because intending visa applicants or students who are applying for a Canada study visa are unable to prove that they will leave Canada and go back to their home country after their studies.

IRCC takes this part of the visa application very seriously because they don’t want students to be stranded in Canada after their studies, hence, the reason they require proof of family ties for Canada visa.

So, if you want to know how to prove that you’ll leave Canada at the end of your stay or know the best way to show proof of ties to home country for Canada, then read the article to the end as this is going to save you from submitting the wrong proof of family ties documents.

What is proof of family ties?

Proof of family ties documents show that you have a family back in your home country that will bring you back after traveling.

After traveling outside your home country, the immigration officer wants to see that you will not overstay your visa expiration, hence the reason they ask for proof of family ties.

How To Show Proof Of Family Ties For Canada Visa, UK, USA, & Other Countries

These are the documents I submitted during my application that you can also submit as strong home ties for student visa or any visa that requires proof of family ties for Canada visa. Feel free to add as many as possible.

Here are What are examples of home ties i submitted:

Deeds Of Assignment

I had a sponsor when I applied and I submitted deeds of assignment, receipt of all my sponsor’s land, business building, investment papers, and properties. Submit as many deeds of assignment as you have including the receipt you or your sponsor used to purchase that property.

Certificate Of Business Registration

If you have a business, Make sure to include it as proof of family ties to your home country. Your business certificate will speak for you even if you don’t have a physical location where you carry out your day-to-day business activities.

If you are using a sponsor, also include their Certificate of business registration. This is also important because your sponsor will declare what job he is doing and how much he is earning per year and that certificate of business registration is going to stand for him as proof.

If your sponsor does not have a personal business, no problem, just submit the other documents for family ties.

Your Parents’ Photograph And Country’s ID

If your parents are still alive, then I see no reason why you shouldn’t use them as family ties. Your parent is a strong family tie because you can not go away forever, no matter where you go in the world, you will always come back to your home country to see your parent.

Include their photograph and also an ID that identifies them as a legal citizen of your country. (It could be a National ID card, Drivers License, International Passport, or Voters Card).

Don’t forget to also include a photo of you and your parent together as this also serve as proof of relationship with parent.

Marriage Certificate

If you are married you can use your marriage certificate to prove that you have a family back home that you will return back to after your visa expiration. Add all your marriage documents including some photos of you and your partner maybe during your wedding, or vacation.

If you and your partner have children, include their photos and Identity card as well.

Your marriage certificate can also be used as proof of relationship as a common law partner for a Canada visa

Job Offer Letter

Your job offer letter shows that you have a job back home that you are coming back to after your studies. Check out the other things below that you should include with your job offer letter

-Letter From Your Employer

If you have a job as I stated above, then get a letter from your employer stating that you work in that organization and also state the hours, your duties as a staff in that organization, and how much salary you get from your job in the letter.

– Pay Slip

Payslip shows the breakdown of how much you earn per month as a worker in that organization. It includes your staff Id number, how much benefit you get per month, the amount of tax that is deducted from your salary, and how much you take home after every deduction.

At the end of the payslip, there is a box for your employer’s signature and your signature.

Group Or Organization ID

Are you in an association or group in your home country, do you have proof that you are a member of that association or an ID card? this is where those documents will help you with your visa application.

Use your association ID card or any document that shows that you are a member and include it as proof that you are coming back to that organization to continue from where you stopped.

Let the visa officer know in your study plan that without you in this association it will not be the same as you hold a very key position in that group or association.

In Conclusion

Submit as much proof of family ties for Canada visa as you can as you don’t want to give room that would jeopardize your visa application because proving intent to return to your home country is very important in your visa application process.

There you have it. Those are the proof of family ties for Canada visa I submitted during my own application and those are what count as proof of ties to Canada visa officers and my visa was approved.
