So, What Is The Next Step After Medical Test For Canada Immigration?
After your medical test has been done, you will need to give the medical center where you did your medical examination, about 2-5 days to send your medical result to Canadian immigration.
When your result is received by a Canadian immigration officer, you will need to wait for 1-2 weeks in order for the immigration officer to get back to you about the decision on your medical result.
When you get a decision of whether you passed the medical test or not, it is the decision that will lead you to the next step.
If the applicant passes the medical test examination, the immigration officer will send the applicant a passport request letter which is the next step after the medical test.
That passport request letter means that you passed your medical test and your visa is ready to be stamped by the immigration officer.
You need to print out that letter to submit to the Visa application center for stamping.
Either you are on a work permit or a study permit or whatever permit, the steps after you passed your medical are the same.
How Do I Submit My Passport For Canada Visa Stamping?
You are to submit your passport to the VFS office in either Lagos or Abuja. Anyways, it is the same process.
There are two ways you can submit your passport to VFS, either by using a courier service or by submitting it in person via VFS Global.
I used DHL to submit my passport to VFS GLOBAL because almost every visa applicant who used courier service uses DHL and because they are reliable.
How long does VFS take to return A Passport From Canada Embassy
From my own experience, it took VFS just 2 days after submission to return my passport back to me via a courier service which I paid for.
So, generally, it takes 1 week for your passport to get back to you after submission.
Using A 2-Way Courier Service For Passport Submission
VFS no longer uses a 2-way courier service anymore as of April 2023 at the time of writing this article. VFS only has a one-way courier service as of 2023.
What it means is that you can decide to pay a one-way courier fee to VFS while submitting your passport.
That way your passport will be delivered to you straight to your home via the VFS GLOBAL in-house courier service.
What I did in my own case was that I submitted my passport via DHL and paid a one-way courier service to VFS to deliver it to my house because I couldn’t get an appointment date that is early and my passport submission deadline that the Immigration officer gave me was almost close.
DHL was the faster option at that point.
In Conclusion
You need to wait for the visa officer to get back to you after Your medical examination.
